OCEANThe Oregon Dunes

Oregon Coastal Environments Awareness Network was formed in 1992 by a group of individuals representing industry, business, state and federal agencies, educators, and conservation organizations. Members came together with a common goal: to promote an awareness and understanding of natural and cultural resources along the southern Oregon coast. OCEAN's geographic range exends from Florence to Brookings, and from the crest of the Coast Range to the Pacific Ocean.

OCEAN's Mission:

We will provide a forum to plan, facilitate and
promote information and programs related to
natural and cultural resources for residents and
visitors to the region.

We undertake this to:
• Increase awareness, understanding, knowledge, and appreciation of resource management issues.

• Carry out initiatives that would be beyond the scope of individual members.

• Promote coordination of activities.

• Promote long-term economic stability that is based in the resources of the area.
